What We Need
  • Well written copy for an email series (3-5 emails), or significant edits to an existing campaign
Additional Details

Our giving circle will "relaunch" soon and we want to celebrate us awarding $50k to nonprofits, thank our donors, highlight our 50 members and announce programming for the years through a series of emails in April and May. The emails need to celebrate our giving milestone (doubled giving in one year, during pandemic) and recognize the diversity of our membership (age, careers, geography). A great copywriting partner is much appreciated.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have a Mailchimp account, information and data, stories to share, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a strong leader who is committed to supporting the project, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to to invest every dollar we individually donate and collectively raise to be granted to small nonprofits in desperate need during the pandemic and following the Texas winter storm/power outages.

This project is important because it will help to solidify our well known brand as the "go-to" Black giving circle in North Texas as we expand our reach and opportunities for women to engage, and for the general public to learn from us.

  • Volunteer Manager provides brand messaging guide and marketing strategy (if applicable)

Milestone 1: Information Gathering
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss goals of email marketing, target audience, and desired style and tone of writing

Milestone 2: First Draft
  • Professional shares first drafts of email copy with Volunteer Manager for feedback with respect to style, tone, clarity, and length

Milestone 2: Finalize Copy
  • Professional incorporates feedback and submits final copy for review

Our Mission

HERitage Giving Fund, a Black women's giving circle was founded August 2017, during Black Philanthropy Month. The mission of HERitage is to encourage philanthropy in the African-American/Black community, to contribute in a strategic and meaningful way, and to bring a new source of funding to nonprofit organizations serving Black women and girls throughout the state of Texas. The giving circle provides an opportunity to learn about issues and organizations that affect and impact the African-American/Black community.
