What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details

Specifically, we are hoping to use this for our annual report but would like to be able to use copy for grants as well.

What we have in place
  • We currently have many client stories and quotes, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have promotional videos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to continue to serve cancer patients in our community with the individualized support they deserve for their urgent non-medical needs.

We know the impact we make but want a way to share our impact with everyone! Creating an annual report/telling our story will improve our visibility to both potential clients needing assistance and those wishing to support an organization.

  • Professional presents and discusses primary story angle(s) to the Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager facilitates interviews between Professional and individuals willing to share their story (if applicable)

Our mission

Cancer Services provides personal and compassionate support to cancer patients and caregivers in our community.

What we do

We provide support for urgent non-medical needs while people are fighting cancer such as financial aid for rent, mortgage, taxes, car repair, utility bills etc. We also provide transportation to treatment, support groups, private counseling, caregiver support, wellness classes, wigs, prosthesis, adult briefs, food supplements and much more. All of our services are free. Our annual budget is 700k+, we are a small staff of 5 but have 150 local volunteers to help us assist our 500+ clients.
