- We currently have a mission, vision, and values statement, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have long standing board and staff members, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,298 , allowing us to invest in resources to help our organization grow, provide professional development to staff and ultimately serve our community more impactfully.
Our organization was created from a parent affiliate organization about 4 years ago. We are growing and at a critical point in our growth where we need to establish our own separate identity and workplace culture. It can be confusing to the staff and board members about policies, procedures, and culture that are originated by the parent organization and assumed to be adopted by our organization. Having someone help identify and establish our own culture will ultimately help us serve community

Our mission
Our mission is to provide the Northwest Side and Belmont Cragin with the tools and resources to preserve affordable housing and prevent displacement and provide business development assistance to local small businesses.
What we do
We're your rental counselor, your small business advisor, your fellow organizer-- and we're here to help you grow your business, secure housing, and know your rental rights.
We provide one-on-one, Spanish bilingual counseling, and group-based training to renters, landlord, and small business owners.
Additionally, we are advancing placemaking efforts that uplift and maintain the Latinx identity of the Belmont Cragin community. These efforts include neighborhood-specific events, branding, and community engagement to identify and drive our work in preserving the community.
