Flexible Copywriting Support
Project details
What we need
- Ongoing copywriting support for 15-20 hours over the course of 4 weeks
-
Support may include: email campaigns, website content, brochures, one-pager/fact sheets, or fundraising/promotional materials
-
Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details
State Theatre has been closed due to COVID-19 since March 13, 2020. Our website copy is mostly about this and the impact on programs that we had to postpone, cancel, or reschedule. We have moved forward with renovations to our historic theater focused around accessibility and safety. We need to pivot our web copy from closure language and re-focus on plans for our re-opening building excitement for a return to live shows and celebration of our 100th anniversary in the newly renovated theater.
What we have in place
- We currently have copy on our website that needs to change in tone, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have draft ideas, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to update the copy on our website, and in emails, and pivot our tone from closure to re-opening celebration of our 100th anniversary season.
It's vital that we build excitement for our re--opening after this long period of closure, build trust with our patrons that it's safe to return, and generate interest in the celebration of our newly renovated theater and our 100th anniversary season.

What we do
State Theatre New Jersey creates extraordinary experiences through the power of live performance. The State is central New Jersey's "front porch," where people can gather to enjoy arts, entertainment, and community events that people of all generations and cultures can share.
Since 1921, people seeking the sublime spark of arts, entertainment and community have chosen our beautiful vintage theater as their destination. Audiences of all generations gather for live theater, music, dance, and events that bring world-renowned artists and performances to our own backyard.
