Additional details
Our organization's website (www.descendientes.org) is in need of an overhaul. In addition, the organization is seeking to increase membership and appeal by broadening its audience to attract younger and more geographically diverse audience. Our new website should help us reach these goals.
What we have in place
- We currently have a Marketing and Communications Committee of four resources, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a membership with deep knowledge of the organization, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,772 , allowing us to focus that money on sharing our events and museum exhibits electronically to the world. We need equipment and expertise to transform the way we communicate our story in a pandemic world.
The 2021 goals of the organization include doubling what has been a declining membership by broadening our scope. We also want to increase fundraising efforts by having a simpler e-commerce area on our website for membership, donations and event ticket purchasing. With the pandemic, we have not been able to showcase our Mexican-American Heritage and History Museum at the Sosa-Carrillo House and I want our revamped website to help in this area. It should allow easy posting of pictures, videos.
