Project details

What we need
  • Initial assessment of areas of strength, targets for improvement and specific areas of focus desired for the coaching sessions
  • Up to 6 coaching sessions exploring areas such as motivation, empowerment, collaboration, communication, giving / receiving feedback & conflict management
  • Wrap-up session with actionable steps and advice moving forward as a manager
Additional details

I am currently working as the project manager for Environment Care and it is my responsibility to turn this consortium of ambitious organisations and ideas into a registered, incorporated non-profit.

It is my first time in a managerial position and I would be very eager to learn new skills to help me grow as a manager and handle the various different responsibilities of being a non-profit project manager.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a website, drafted business plan and mission statements, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have documents about our organisations past and future visions, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,248 , allowing us to begin cutting-edge work that benefits communities who are most affected by exposure to harmful pollution as soon as we become an incorporated nonprofit

The responsibility of managing the transformation of Environment Care into a nonprofit falls onto my shoulders, yet I feel as though my managerial skills are not up to scratch as this is my first time managing a project. With me working as a more efficient manager, Environment Care can hopefully become an incorporated nonprofit sooner than anticipated.

Our mission

Our Mission: Justice.

We offer leadership at making the environment safe from chemicals and to defend people's rights to a healthful environment.

Our mission is to remedy harm to human health caused by pollution -- especially to vulnerable people most at risk. Our program focuses on the most polluted places in the world, where severe health disorders result from exposure to toxic chemicals.

What we do

Achieving environmental justice -- bringing fairness and equal treatment to inflicted people through participation, due process, and redress -- not only presents challenges to governance (legal, ethical and social) but also raises scientific questions of how to prove conclusively (either in a court of law or in regulatory settings) that particular toxic substances are responsible for health problems. We are advancing science to 'fingerprint' chemicals that are causing harm and trace them to their source. At the same time, our partners in developing countries aim to limit the health impact of pollution through governance reforms. But these efforts are not yet linked to the scientific capabilities required to verify chemical causes of harm. Our aim is to generate science-based governance interventions that will save lives and restore justice for those most harmed by pollution.

Working with Marc was an excellent experience. He always made me feel comfortable in our management coaching sessions and was attentive to both my professional and personal issues. He has definitely taught me skills that I can use to become both a better project manager and a more mindful individual. Marc is a lovely person who I would recommend to anybody!
