Hello! I am a pediatric dentist/executive director of Southshore Skipping Stones, a local nonprofit organization whose mission is to teach pregnant woman how to prevent early childhood tooth decay by empowering mom to realize the importance of her own oral health and overall health. We currently have an instagram account @borntobecavityfree but it is very under utilized. I have incredibly helpful information that I want to get out there and just need help setting up a plan, look, and strategy!

What we have in place
  • We currently have a working instagram account @borntobecavityfree, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have tons of post ideas and examples of what we are striving for, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to actually have the assistance and guidance from a professional to get our message out to thousands of pregnant moms!

The whole reason this organization exists is to reach pregnant woman that may not have access to this information!! The goal is to create a social media presence that is known for its valid, helpful information; inspires instead of belittles; can connect pregnant moms to organizations they may not know exist; and finally to connect with organizations that serve pregnant woman and newborns to make sure they are able to deliver this important information as well.

  • Professional sets up account with bio and profile picture

  • Professional recommends types and frequency of content to post on account (including posts, stories, and live videos)

Our mission

To teach pregnant women about the importance of their oral health during pregnancy, the role it plays in the establishment their baby's oral health, and in the prevention of early childhood caries.
o On-line resources in both English and Spanish, including prenatal and infant oral health classes, podcasts, blogs, and social media content are provided free of charge.
o We also invite collaboration with community organizations, oral healthcare providers, and all other healthcare providers that serve pregnant women, infants, and families to develop in-house prenatal/infant oral health programs specific to the needs of their organization and those they serve.
