Project details
What we need
- Audit of the existing systems and processes; the audit is limited to hiring and termination practices, work scheduling, payroll processing, benefits administration, insurance, and compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Recommendation for process improvements and software providers (if necessary)
- Implementation of chosen software (if necessary)
- Training on maintenance tasks
Additional details
we are looking to move off paychex as our 401k and payroll provider in the next 4 months - primarily due to old technology and very poor service. we've started interviewing 401k providers and are beginning to look at other payroll processors. Some consulting on both of these transitions would be helpful.
What we have in place
- I'm the operations director and will be the project point of contact. This is a very real decision we are making in the next 60 days, so I will allocate whatever time it takes to get us there. We are really looking for some expert assistance to make sure we are asking the right questions of 401k and payroll providers and understand what it is going to take to make this transition. Our finance director and outsourced HR provider are also on the decision making/roll out committee.
How this will help
This project will save us $6,746 , allowing us to focus on clients, not internal administration issues.
Paychex adds no value to our 401k service for employees currently. We want to increase participation for the future benefit of our employees and ensure we are in full compliance and don't have any regulatory issues. The Paychex tool is not very user friendly and resolving issues is very difficult. We hope to change providers to make payroll easier for all staff.

Testimonials
Ann was great. Really knowledgeable about Paylocity and 401k RFP process. A few days going back and forth answered a lot of questions.
