I'd like strategic advice on how to create a budget for our organization that integrates with our strategic plan. I'm not familiar with Quickbooks or other budgeting tools.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a business plan and proposed operational budget, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have ideas for fundraising, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,114 , allowing us to be effective and efficient in providing the necessary services that are needed due to the organization running smoothly.

Fostering Greatness Inc is a start-up grassroots nonprofit organization that is geared towards assisting foster care alumni with obtaining a sustainable life after transitioning from the foster care system. Any assistance with establishing the foundational work that i needed in order for this nonprofit organization to succeed would not only benefit the intended population but it would benefit the all systems involved.

  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with materials currently being used for financial planning, such as the current operating budget or chart of accounts, and current financial statements
  • Volunteer Manager also provides any additional materials that will affect budgeting, such as a fundraising plan, earned income plan, or business plan

Milestone 1: Information Gathering & Outline
  • Professional does additional due diligence to address any questions or issues
  • Professional creates a detailed outline for the budget, to be shared with Volunteer Manager for feedback

Milestone 2: Budget Creation
  • Professional creates budget and shares it with the Volunteer Manager for feedback
  • Professional incorporates any feedback into the model for final draft version

Milestone 3: Explanation & Training
  • Professional delivers the budget, alongside a detailed written or verbal explanation of how the budget should be utilized and modified in the future
  • Professional provides advice on how to record and reconcile actual expenses against the budget

Fostering Greatness Inc. a 501c3 grassroots organization located in Western New York that assists transitioning foster care alumni of color from ages 16-35.

We provide life skills, housing stability, educational/career guidance, holistic health programming and personal/professional development through access, opportunities and community supports.

Our vision is to welcome foster care alumni into a space that supports them in fostering their greatness.
