Cultivating Community is embarking on an Executive Director hiring process and would benefit from input on the job description, posting, and interviews. We have established a board-staff hiring committee and prioritized the qualifications and skills we are seeking. We look forward to working with an HR professional experienced in nonprofit, value-based ED searches, particularly with organizations that pursue shared leadership structures.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a Hiring Committee and draft job description, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have dedicated board and staff, including two interim directors, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,765 , allowing us to invest in our new immigrant farmer training and community food education programs.

We just completed a year long "Next Steps" process following the departure of our founding ED. This process included a professionally facilitated board-staff committee that explored numerous leadership models and decided to pursue a single ED but with a commitment to shared leadership. The new ED will be critical to finalize this transitional period and move us forward.
