We're hiring our first employees outside of our founding team! We're so excited to expand, but want to make sure that we're doing so in an equitable, inclusive manner. As a young organization, we don't currently have any policies or procedures in place for this, but the good news is we don't have any bad habits formed yet either! Consider us a blank slate ready for your expert guidance.
With the need for our services rapidly increasing, our overworked team needs help so we can serve every teacher who comes our way. We're expanding our programming and looking to hire several new people this year, so it's vital that we start the process with a solid, equitable hiring strategy. This is our chance to get things right so we can achieve long term success and be a great place to work.
The Welman Project’s mission is to connect schools and nonprofits with the community in ways that ignite creativity, environmental activism, and social responsibility. We serve as a free resource, distributing surplus materials from local companies for creative reuse in the classroom and beyond. Through The Welman Project, waste is reduced, the burden on teachers is lessened, and creativity and ingenuity thrive in the classroom.
