Project details

What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details

FunkEntelechy Inc. is the new non-profit arm of the Museum Of UnCut Funk, an online museum that celebrates 1970's Black history and culture. We have an educational initiative called Tell The Truth Teach The Truth, which advocates for establishing national standards for teaching Black history in all schools, Pre-K - 12. We would like to make this our signature program that ties all of our educational efforts together. We need help crafting a more compelling story about this important initiative.

What we have in place
  • We have graphics for this initiative. We feature this initiative on the homepage of our site. We also have a page on our website and a petition on change.org dedicated to this initiative, plus several videos where we talk about the importance of this initiative.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to elevate the profile of our signature educational initiative.

Tell The Truth Teach The Truth is very timely given the racial issues that continue to plague this country. As a Black history museum, assuring that all schools teach the truth about Black history is mission critical.

Our mission

FunkEntelechy Inc. is a new non-profit organization. Our mission is to change the way Black history is taught in the U.S. To help achieve our mission, we have established a partnership with the Museum Of UnCut Funk, an online museum that celebrates 1970's Black history and culture.

We will support our mission by creating and executing educational programming that teaches children and adults about unknown aspects of Black history, based upon the Museum Of UnCut Funk collection and exhibitions.

Testimonials

Prachi helped us turn our story into a really powerful gif, which turned out to be more like a minute and a half mini movie. It is very cool! She was able to incorporate images, graphics, movement, sound and sound effects to make our story really compelling. She has a great creative process and was really amazing to work with. I would highly recommend her for storytelling work or any type of creative project.

Storytelling Project

It was a pleasure to work with Loreen and to propagate the vision and ideas of the Museum of Uncut Funk. The process overall felt very collaborative and she was very welcoming of different perspectives. We ended up with a rich story than where we started. There was a lot of learning and skilling-up for me to produce the final work and she was understanding and supportive of the spread of the timeline and deliverables. I'm very thankful that we connected on this opportunity, and I Would really love to work with the museum and with Loreen again.
