Experience with small nonprofit organizations (we have 3 paid employees) and knowledge of designing policies to specifically bolster inclusive workplace culture is important.
It will support our new executive director and current staff as we continue to develop and codify a fair and inclusive workplace culture, providing a solid foundation upon which to expand our small team once we return to hiring after the pandemic subsides.
SouthWings protects and restores the ecosystems of the Southeastern US through flight. Founded in 1996, SouthWings volunteer pilots fly to uncover and mitigate environmental challenges related to climate change and watershed protection. We welcome a broad range of stakeholders to see firsthand the scope and scale of issues such as sea level rise, water pollution, community vulnerability, deforestation, and mountaintop removal coal mining. Our flights shape perspectives on the actions needed to stop and reverse these problems. We fly to hold polluters accountable and to promote environmental policy and planning, scientific research, public awareness and action, and ecosystem protection.
