Board Assessment
Board Assessment
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page summary of takeaways and trends from interviewing key individuals (no more than 8 interviews total)
- Identification of the board’s strengths and recommendations for areas of improvement for board members collectively and individually
Additional details
The organization is requesting a review/analysis of current bylaws, Board job descriptions, Board roles & responsibilities and strategic plans to design a Board Self-Assessment tool. Additionally, the organization wishes to determine how fully and in what ways our current Board design and governance approach does or does not helps us achieve our mission, vision, and values.
What we have in place
- We currently have documents about governance and operating practices, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have commitment from the Director and six(6) Board Members, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $8,773 , allowing us to implement change management recommendations for improved, sustainable Organizational performance and effectiveness, and mitigate long-term operational risks.
The Organization is bundling this project along with Board Recruitment Systems, Board Prospecting, Hiring Strategy, Membership Strategy, and Succession Planning Session projects to strengthen organizational effectiveness, and support fundraising and community-building goals.
