Project details

What we need
  • Ongoing graphic design support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
  • Support may include: logo design, flyer design, branded assets for social media
  • Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working.
Additional details

We are working on creating a media guide and toolkit to educate members of the media and the community on what substance use disorder (SUD) is, the appropriate ways to discuss and portray SUD in a compassionate way, bringing attention to racial bias, and reducing stigma. We are in the end stages of compiling all the data and written information that we want to include but need support in putting the guide together, including the overall design of the guide with graphic and image support.

What we have in place
  • We currently have the written information, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a draft of the guide, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to instead, spend resources on making contacts with media, training, and creating opportunities to change the current dialogue about SUD. We also hope to create PSAs and launch a media campaign as well.

This project is aimed at increasing media and community knowledge on substance use disorder and reducing the stigma surrounding it. We believe that having the support of the media in respectfully discussing SUD and using appropriate imagery will help change the general community rhetoric. Reducing stigma in the community will make access to substance use disorder treatment more accessible and prevent overdose deaths.
