Project details

What we need
  • Visual branding guidelines/style guide in .pdf and/or print format that includes specific colors, primary and secondary typefaces, minimum size and buffer space for logo, examples of incorrect logo usage, and any other graphic design elements, to guide use in print and digital communications materials
What we have in place
  • We currently have a logo, brand colors, and some fonts on our website, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have an experienced designer on staff to work with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to save our small communications budget to produce educational materials for our community about the reality of homelessness, which we hope will build a more compassionate and active community.

In the next year, our organization is looking to do a small (very small) re-brand. In advance of that project, it would be incredibly helpful to do a design audit and brand outline for our existing website/materials so that we know what we're working with and can empower staff across departments to create materials in the meantime.

Project plan

P
Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with current logo, current branding guidelines (if available), and any existing marketing/communications materials (letterhead, business cards, social media usage, etc.)
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with examples of 1-2 branding guidelines from existing companies they feel have great branding guidelines
1
Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss the branding goals, target audience, and preferred design elements
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree on what should be covered in the visual branding guide
2
Milestone 2: Visual Branding Guidelines/Style Guide
  • Professional drafts the visual branding guidelines, which features a mission statement, specific set of colors, fonts, correct logo usage, and any custom graphic elements to be incorporated in future communications
  • Volunteer Manager reviews the draft guidelines and provides feedback
  • Professional incorporates feedback and prepares the final version
  • If custom graphics are included in the agreed-upon scope of work, the Professional provides them in high-resolution formats for digital and print use

Our mission

The mission of At The Crossroads is to reach out to homeless youth and young adults at their point of need, and work with them to build healthy and fulfilling lives.

What we do

Our innovative model focuses on young people who do not access traditional services and are disconnected from any type of consistent support. We work with young people who others have given up on, who would not get help without us. We remove common barriers to service by bringing our counselors onto the streets, and shaping our support services around the needs of each individual client. Our goal is to help our clients build outstanding lives, not just lives of subsistence.

We accomplish our mission through a combination of nighttime street outreach and one-on-one counseling, and collaboration with other service providers. We walk the streets of the Mission and Downtown San Francisco at nighttime, bringing help to our clients, rather than making them come to us. We help our clients with anything and everything they need, providing unconditional support for as long as they need to build the lives they want. We partner and advocate to make sure that there is an accessible, culturally competent continuum of care that will provide our clients with the opportunities to realize their dreams.
