We are building our website site content using our podcast (STITCH PLEASE) as the foundation. THe podcast centers Black women, girls, and femmes in sewing. This task asks for a copywriter to either listen to the podcast OR read the transcript. The writer will then generate a list of 3 topics and write a 350 word blog about one of the topics generated.
This job is essential to the development of our website. It is not enough that the site be beautiful (WHICH IT IS!) it must also be functional. One function we want our website to serve is as a resource for ideas. These blog entries are crucial for this endeavor.
Black Women Stitch is the sewing group where Black lives matter. We center Black women, girls, and femmes in sewing. We practice the principles of Black liberation, radical self love, and social justice.
*Stitch Please podcast, a weekly audio show, is our major project. The podcast aims to support, celebrate, and inspire Black women sewists locally and around the world.
*Weekly chats on Instagram Live to answer questions and address issues/topics of interest, including material from the podcast, current sewing projects, and dismantling white supremacy.
Leora was a DREAM to work with. We were interested in expanding our current content by growing blog posts from podcast episodes. The task was to listen to an episode and identify three topics. Then write a 350 blog post about one of them. Leora was amazing. She did research beyond what I was expecting and produced a wonderfully rich blog post. I am very grateful to her for so generously sharing her creative energy with our organization. THANK YOU!!!
Working with Lisa was great! She was clear in what she wanted, provided feedback, and has an amazing organization!
