Project details

What we need
  • A visual redo of the Organization's website
  • Design direction based on Organization's desired branding and style preferences
  • Mock-ups of key site pages
  • Commitment to 2 phone calls with a developer to guide initial front-end coding work
  • Note: We recommend this project for custom websites. If your site is built on a CMS platform like Wordpress or Squarespace that offers templates, you may not need this project. Check out our Website Content Plan project for help building a CMS-based website
Additional details

We are launching a new teen science magazine for the Arctic and Antarctic and need your help to design a simple website for the magazine! The magazine, Polynya, will illuminate polar research and achievements by those who identify as women and those who were designated female but self-identify differently across all races and ethnicities, with a particular focus on Indigenous scientists, knowledge holders, and artists.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a sitemap of all needed content, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a color brand guideline and a dedicated staff member to help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,186 , allowing us to print and mail a free magazine to hundreds of students in the Arctic and sub-Arctic!

We want girls to see themselves in every corner of the polar sciences, Traditional and Indigenous Knowledges, research, advocacy, arts, and change-making community. With your help, Polynya will illuminate polar research and achievements by those who identify as women and those who were designated female but self-identify differently across all races and ethnicities.

We hope to achieve this by informing Arctic policy across the circumpolar region through objective, multidisciplinary, and innovative social science research. We do this through publishing high-quality, open access research on a range of issues relating to security in the High North; providing innovative policy analysis and recommendations to policymakers a
