Press Release
Press Release
Project details
What we need
- 1-2 page press release that can be distributed to news outlets
Additional details
We worked with another Catchafire volunteer to complete a press release for our Cuddle Cot donation, unfortunately we were not able to get it our in a timely manner. We would like to update that press release and include our 2021 launch of a burial/cremation grant.
What we have in place
- We currently have a draft press release, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the new details/updates, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,348 , allowing us to use those funds to assist families with funeral and memorial costs.
It is extremely important to raise awareness about pregnancy and infant loss. This project will break the silence, shed light on the resources and support that families need and the work that we are doing to help families on their healing journey.
Project plan
Our mission
Our mission is to help families and individuals who experience stillbirth and pregnancy loss improve their mental health and well-being through community building, education, mentorship, and support groups.
What we do
We offer a wraparound suite of services to support families and individuals at the time of or following stillbirth or pregnancy loss. These services include an 8-week grief recovery program, annual and monthly events, an online community, an online memorial page, financial assistance for burial/memorial, keepsake boxes, cards, and small gifts at various milestones to remember their baby and cuddle cot donations.
Testimonials
Megan was very responsive and assisted us quickly in preparing TWO press releases. She captured the essence of the organization, our contributions, goals and needs. She was very patient in her work with us. I am confident that our press releases will be published!
Sadija at SAILS is a great collaborator and I appreciated her thoughtful feedback. SAILS supports a community in grief, and I was honored to help with PR to share their successes and story with a broader audience. I recommend working with Sadija and supporting SAILS.
