Project details

What we need
  • A detailed Operating Budget covering at least one full fiscal year
  • Expert advice on how to reconcile actual expenses with budgeted expenses
Additional details

Review current FY21 budget draft and compare with FY20 actuals to gauge accuracy of projected revenue/expenses. Assist in creating and implementing a budget planning process in advance of FY22. Educate executive staff and select board leadership on key budgeting concepts and strategies for future implementation.

What we have in place
  • We currently have FY20 actuals and a FY21 budget draft, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have board members with some budgeting experience, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $9,114 , allowing us to purchase accounting software or hire an outside financial services provider to allow for continued implementation of strategies and insights shared.

Our organization does not currently have a formal budget planning process in place, and is seeking to engage in more effective financial planning and management to ensure long-term financial stability.

Testimonials

Andrew was incredibly helpful and exceedingly patient in working with our organization to improve our budgeting practices, working closely with our executive director and board members to identify and outline key line items and put together projections/actuals from past financial records. Andrew even went the extra mile to explain several more complicated or sophisticated budgeting concepts and walk our organization's budgeting team through building out a new annual budget planning procedure. On top of all this, Andrew was always very approachable and professional in his interactions with members of our organization. Would highly recommend him for additional volunteer projects in the future!
