Website Audit
Website Audit
Project details
What we need
- Feedback on the current website’s layout, user functionality, mobile-friendliness, visual design, content, and other key features
- Clear articulation of the Organization’s goals for the website
- Recommendations for improvements to help achieve the Organization’s desired goals
- Note: If you are looking for a more specific, in-depth audit of your website's design and usability, try our Website Usability Audit project
Additional details
the Ayleen bot recommended this as a starting point for Content, Usability, and Accessibility. We also have some goals for our website, but it would be good to have expert eyes on our website- although we may also need to pursue the Website Usability Audit. We'd like to have better SEO, move some widgets around, and learn more about best practices because staff maintains our website. We'd like to improve the Constant Contact integration, Fundraising, analytics, events calendar, podcast location.
What we have in place
- We currently have a wordress website, google analytics, and staff, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a radio station, stream and podcasts, which is our widget, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,762 , allowing us to better serve our community by allocating resources to a tech tools lending library for volunteers who are now participating remotely due to covid-19 and help us prepare for work re-entry post Covid-19
Our mission is to connect and an improved website will help us connect with our community. We want our website to be accessible to all on all devices- Apple/pc/android, deaf/blind/visual/auditory/impairments, etc. We've had 2 website overhauls in 2013 and 2017. 1st one was from a proprietary template to a WP site with best guesses on what optimal functionality would be for a nonprofit radio station. The 2nd one was done by the same team, with better aesthetics, but can still be improved.
