What We Need

Recommendations on both styles of recruiting (active vs. passive) and proper channels to pursue candidates
Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title

Additional Details

We are looking for someone to help us develop a recruitment and retention strategy for our homecare company, PimaCare at Home. Currently, the homecare industry is seeing a 60-70% turnover in employees and demand for service greatly outweighs the supply of workers. Getting more people into our company will help us meet demand. Retaining workers will help as well.

What We Have In Place

We currently have recruitment strategy for non-COVID, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a manager ready and able to work with you, and the ability to provide any other information you need.

How This Will Help

This project will save us $5,776 , allowing us to have a plan to recruit and retain workers

Home care is a fast growing sector of the workforce, yet because of pay and other issues in the workforce, it is difficult to hire and maintain workers. We need help because we want to ensure that older people have the ability to live with dignity and respect in their own homes, safely, as they age.

Project Plan

Prep: Information Sharing

Volunteer Manager shares current or past job descriptions used, as well as relevant materials such as internal policies and procedures already in place

Milestone 1: Audit of Existing Policies

Professional and Volunteer Manager meet to discuss current hiring processes, including how candidates are found, interviewing principles, hiring steps normally taken, and overall hiring philosophy

Milestone 2: Analysis & Recommendations

Professional identifies key areas of improvement, and recommends ways to improve current processes
Volunteer Manager provides feedback to Professional

Milestone 3: Draft Hiring Strategy

Professional drafts strategy, which thoughtfully lays out all areas of the recruiting process
Strategy should include guidelines and actionable steps to implement recommendations
Volunteer Manager provides any feedback, which Professional incorporates into final draft

Milestone 4: Draft Job Descriptions & Recommendations for Hiring Channels

Professional drafts up a job description template the Organization can use
Professional recommends appropriate hiring channels for the Organization based on budget, and assists in any setup necessary to list job descriptions
