New Employee Recruiting
New Employee Recruiting
Project details
What we need
- A clear job description for an open position
- A list of interview questions pertaining to the position
- An interview rubric
- Recommendations on qualified candidates that the organization should contact and recruitment platforms to use
- Note: This project does not include salary/benefit recommendations or offer letter construction.
Additional details
We are hiring a brand new position to our small but mighty team who will lead our efforts around community engagement, communications, and advocacy in support of literacy outcomes in Oakland, CA. We are seeking a Catchafire volunteer who can provide strategic guidance and added capacity to help us move the hiring process forward and find an excellent person for the job.
What we have in place
- We currently have a job description template and an outline of the new role, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have examples of interview questions we've used in the past, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,290 , allowing us to focus resources on our core mission -- working together as a community coalition to ensure the reading success of all Oakland students.
Our organization identified the need for this new role through our strategic planning process this summer. The position will help us mobilize informed community action to improve literacy outcomes for our students. As a small team without a dedicated HR position, working with Catchafire will help us conduct an effective and successful hiring process by contributing both expertise and capacity.

Testimonials
Ashley helped us get our job descriptions and interview materials ready for two new positions we brought onto our team and provided some trainings and tools that we've incorporated in subsequent hiring processes.
This was a great experience, Cassie came organized and prepared and was very receptive of the recruiting feedback and suggestions I provided.
