Organizational Strategy Call

Call details

What we'd like to talk about

We would like some advice on recruiting and orienting board members for a mental health nonprofit and the best way to start the strategic planning process. Staff is reviewing the 2015-2019 plan.

"Phone calls" are 1 hour, one-time calls with an organization. Learn the difference between volunteering on a Phone call and a Project here.

Our mission

Austin Clubhouse exists to provide acceptance and empowerment so adults living with mental health diagnoses can pursue personal goals and play a meaningful role as co-workers, colleagues, family members, neighbors, and friends.

What we do

Austin Clubhouse was established in 2010 with the belief that recovery from mental illness is possible not only through clinical intervention, but through meaningful work and deeply-rooted relationships. We are a judgment-free community where adults with mental health diagnoses are accepted and encouraged to celebrate their strengths. Working side-by-side with other members and staff to operate the Clubhouse, members facilitate their own and others' recovery. Clubhouse members (not "clients" or "patients") develop meaningful friendships, confidence, and skills that help them find purpose, meaning, and belonging to achieve their full potential. The Clubhouse model of psychosocial rehabilitation is recognized as an effective, evidence-based practice.
