Project details

What we need
  • Review of existing mission, vision and/or values
  • Analysis of the existing programs and any future plans
  • Strategic consultation surrounding the existing functions and the core needs the Organization seeks to address
  • Freshly written mission, vision & values statements
Additional details

Would like assistance in expanding possibilities for the Mission statement for our non-profit organization. Also interested in recommendations for brainstorming and recording Value Statements with the LOWLINC Board of Directors. Would like to proceed with a SWOT project at an appropriate time. Goal is to have a working document of a Strategic Plan for the organization by June 1.

What we have in place
  • We currently have Annual Report from 2019, Member Satisfaction Survey, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have LOWLINC marketing brochure with Mission Statement, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $11,823 , allowing us to utilize our current resources to expand community partnerships and member communication with a particular focus on needs and services for the older adult who chooses to stay in their home.

Our organization is evaluating our services to our members and wants to consider the potential for further outreach into the community.

Our mission

LOWLINC is dedicated to enabling older residents of Lake of the Woods to continue living safely and independently in their own homes, with continued connections and engagement in our community.

What we do

LOWLINC volunteers provide a wide variety of services to our membership base including transportation ranging from health provider visits to grocery shopping. Volunteers run errands, provide light home maintenance and handyman services, mail delivery service, technology assistance and in-home visiting. Social and educational activities play a major role in our services. Additional services include referrals to community service organizations and referrals to screened service providers/contractors.

Testimonials

Yagev has been an outstanding Catchafire consultant for LOWLINC, a non-profit Village in central Virginia. LOWLINC has been in existence for more than five years serving and enabling seniors to continue living independently in their homes with purpose and meaningful connections to the community. It was time to plan for the future. Yagev had the perfect skills to lead us forward and upward! A team of five LOWLINC leaders worked together with Yagev for more than three months meeting weekly and following up with readings and homework assignments. We were challenged to first define our "Purpose" and then to contemplate our "Dreams." We continued to explore possibilities as Yagev prepared our team to establish new and exciting strategic goals for our organization. We paused occasionally to independently bring along the LOWLINC leadership on our journey. Our team led a Strategy for the Future Leadership Session, a SWOT Analysis and a Focus Group meeting. Yagev continued to provide guidance in these initiatives as well as lead us to the development of Strategic Goals. Working with this Catchafire consultant was an extremely valuable experience both for the team of LOWLINC leaders as well as the entire organization. This is a time of great opportunity for organizations working with older adults and the increased emphasis on "aging in the home." I believe Yagev would be excellent with any organization as he has the ability to analyze an organization, promote thinking for the future and encourage ongoing development and opportunity. He was also fun to work with in our deliberations. He often said, "We have potential to do something different and be a differentiator." Thank you for the opportunity to work with this Catchafire consultant.

Working with the LOWLINC strategy team was a great experience. They are true professionals, committed, motivated and fun to work with. Their commitment to helping Seniors stay at home, in control of their lives while focusing on health, wellness and contribution to the community is highly commendable. Our joint journey focused on strategy design and execution, making this a highly practical and productive effort. I’m confident it will bear fruits in the near future. Thank you !!!
