What we need
  • A compelling narrative, or set of stories
  • Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
  • Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
  • Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!

This will be used in our annual report that we will send out.

What we have in place
  • We currently have current language, student access, ability to interview, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have data, organizational history, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to upgrade our Google chromebooks

Telling our story in a more compelling way will drive our efforts to attract more donors and sponsors to serve more underrepresented girls in STEM.

Our mission

The mission of The GEMS Camp (Girls interested in Engineering, Mathematics, and Science) is to build confidence in urban teen girls in grades 7-12 through five core areas called the 5 Karat Gems - Academics, Career, Creativity, Leadership, and Service - so that they will be successful in STEM studies and careers. GEMS' vision is to change the trajectory of generational poverty for underrepresented girls' families via college and career readiness.
