I was recently elected as the new Board President for South Pacific Islander Organization. I hope to facilitate effective board meetings to meet our yearly goals and motivate growth as we set out to hire our first executive director and expand our board.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a 2021 Strategic Plan, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a 2021 Strategic Plan, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,198 , allowing us to focus funds on hiring an Executive Director.

This project is important because our nonprofit is growing quickly, and we are eager to have a clear lifecycle plan for advisors and volunteers. To support our work in a meaningful way.

  • Professional and Volunteer Manager discuss perceived areas of strength and area of improvement, leadership style, and assessment of team motivation and morale
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager decide on specific areas to focus on and goals for coaching sessions

  • In-depth discussions may include issues such as strategy and goal-setting, program management, personnel management, and board management
  • Various techniques may be employed by the Leadership Coach to achieve the desired results

To support and promote Pacific Islander voices, cultures, and communities through leadership development, cultural revitalization, and community partnerships.

Our current focus is to build Pacific Islander presence in higher education and professional fields.

What we do

Mentorship Program: Free 1:1 college application mentorship to increase number of Pacific Islanders applying to institutions of higher education.

Scholarships: 3 $5,000 scholarships to reduce financial burden of Pacific Islander scholars.

Spotlight Program: Article spotlight series highlighting inspiring Pacific Islanders across academic and professional fields to increase authentic representation of Pacific Islanders in the media.

Online Educational Directory: An online directory of educational resources available to Pacific Islanders scholars based on their island nation/country of residence to consolidate data and increase visibility and access to educational resources.

Higher Education Network: A free online platform for Pacific Islander scholars and professionals to meet, collaborate, and share resources across campuses around the world.
