What we need
  • An easily understood visual aid that communicates complex information
  • A high-resolution version of the Infographic in the Organization’s preferred format
Additional details

Looking to present information in a polished, visually-exciting format in newsletter that is mailed twice a year to donors and friends. The first infographic I would like to complete is a chart of what #GivingTuesday 2020 looked like for North Branch School. Hint: It was very successful and I want to share that good news.

What we have in place
  • We currently have the data collected from #GIvingTuesday, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have logo, fonts, and color palette for our branding, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to polish our newsletter and learn to create infographics. This year especially our budget for anything beyond programmatic expenses is extremely limited, so this would not happen otherwise.

Many of our donors and friends live far away from our school. If they are not following us on social media, the newsletter is our chance to share good news and needs.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional discuss the objective of the infographic, key audiences, and style preferences (if any)
  • Volunteer Manager shares examples of infographics they like with the Professional
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with data or other source of information to draw from

Milestone 1: Preliminary Sketching
  • Professional develops three drafted concepts to share with the Organization
  • Volunteer Manager chooses one draft as a primary concept and provides feedback

Milestone 2: Graphic Creation
  • Professional provides Volunteer Manager with first draft of Infographic
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with up to two rounds feedback

Milestone 3: Presentation of Deliverables
  • Professional delivers the final version of the Infographic including specifications for usage (colors, size, etc.)

Katie was willing to work through the evolution of this project with me. She offered several versions and we ended up combining what we liked best about each into one infographic. Katie was willing to make changes, and, once I saw the infographic, I realized that I needed to add/subtract from the initial data I gave her to work with.
