What we need
  • Review of current board policies and procedures
  • Document outlining best practices for meetings and communication, including cadence and tool recommendations
What we have in place
  • We currently have a board and individuals that want to be apart of our board, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have 3 main individuals that are apart of the original board, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,610 , allowing us to create a board and vision to grow our performing arts company.

We would like to start the new year with the creation of a board to help in the success of our non-profit.

Prep: Provide Current Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with the board’s current governance practices, policies and procedures, as well as a list of current board members
  • Volunteer Manager identifies which board members or other staff are available for interviews (if required)

Milestone 1: Research
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session
  • Professional reviews any issues arising from current policies and procedures

Milestone 2: Evaluation
  • Professional conducts surveys and interviews with key stakeholders
  • Professional reviews relevant materials regarding the board’s performance, policies, and procedures
  • Professional drafts the board’s organizational guidelines
  • Organization provides feedback to Professional’s documents

  • Professional delivers board organizational guidelines outlining recommendations for more effective operations
