Storytelling
Project details
What we need
- A compelling narrative, or set of stories
- Persuasive copy that can be used in appeals to donors, annual reports, grant applications, and media relations
- Popular examples: Organization's founding story, a program achievement or milestone, a look back at the past few years, organizational backgrounder, etc.
- Note: This project is not intended to support your general content planning or marketing but there are several projects in our Marketing & Communications category which are a good fit!
Additional details
Our social service agency in the Stamford/Norwalk CT area was founded in the wake of the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr, to help uplift the community. We are working on the agency's 50 year history. We have a draft written already; need help bringing it to completion, editing, revising and publishing what we've already done.
What we have in place
- We currently have a 40 year history and draft of the 50 year, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have staff and volunteers with a willingness to help, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,397 , allowing us to provide more than 2,400 meals to the community.
P2P's role in the social service network in the Stamford/Norwalk corridor is key but somewhat unsung, especially in terms of range: people do not know either how deep the needs are -- exacerbated by the COVID-19 disruptions -- or how broad our response is, in large part due to volunteer support. Bringing this history to completion will help highlight the needs in the community and encourage people to help meet these needs however they are able.
