Email Marketing System Set Up

Project details

What we need
  • Set up of Organization's account in email marketing software (possible tools include Mailchimp, Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor)
  • Imported contact list into software with guidance on list cleaning & management
What we have in place
  • We currently have a list of emails to start with, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a google drive with a folder of contacts, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,640 , allowing us to use the money on paying the artist in our collective for arts projects.

We need to establish a system and plan on communicating with our community on a more regular basis.

Our mission

Alena Museum is a 501(c)3 nonprofit with the mission of providing critical safe spaces for the African Diaspora to express and cultivate their cultural identity in the face of gentrification.

What we do

ARTIST RESIDENCY
A key component to building cultural equity is making sure Black creatives and other creatives who have been historically disenfranchised have access to culturally relevant opportunities for professional development and artistic exploration. Alena Museum's artist residency program offers artists of various disciplines space, time, and resources to do just that. For 1-3 months at a time, we invite artists who center the cultures and experiences of the African Diaspora, to tap in with us. We support artists in finding new and vibrant ways to engage the public and we offer mentorship along the way.

HEALTH & WELLNESS
Health and Wellness is a pillar within our mission at Alena Museum. We partner with local groups and organization to offer our community knowledge, skills and resources ensuring communal longevity.

ALENA PUBLIC ART ACTIVISM PROGRAM
Alena Culture Collective(ACC) Public Art and Activism using public space to speak out on social issues concerning the African Diaspora , showcase and celebrate black culture in the community. Our public art program aims to ignite the imagination, encourage thought and to prompt discourse. Public art benefits the community through placemaking, bringing people together, and can be used as a tool in economic development.

COMMUNITY SPACE ACCESS PROGRAM
The advancement of gentrification is steadily decreasing spaces for artists in our community to create, congregate, and build with one another. In the spirit of kinship and our mission to create meaningful alternatives, the Community Space Access Program allows groups and individuals to access our space as well as creative and infrastructural resources for free or low cost. We open our doors and lend our talents to help people, projects, and organizations thrive.

OPEN STUDIOS
Open Studios is a program that allows interdisciplinary artists and artist collectives to utilize the Alena Museum spaces once a month to create art, hold meetings and curate community events. We invite synergy, collaboration, and most of all, connection. Join us every third Saturday for a full day of communal working and creative sanctuary.
