Project Details

What We Need
  • Recommendations on both styles of recruiting (active vs. passive) and proper channels to pursue candidates
  • Guidelines for hiring process, including order and number of interview rounds, reference checks, and general best practices for an inclusive interview
  • Effective interviewing techniques and clear, consistent standards for evaluating candidates
  • Tips for negotiating details such as compensation package and title
Additional Details

Our strategic plan for the next five years includes hiring three full-time positions that are new to us: Sales Manager, Marketing Staff and Director of Development. Those hirings will be staggered over the next three years in that order.

What We Have In Place
  • Lead Guitar can share our new-hire paperwork, onboarding docs and employee contracts as well as QBO based employee, contractor and general financial data
How This Will Help
This project will save us $5,776 , allowing us to provide one full year of daily guitar classes to 60 students

We have an immediate funding opportunity to support these three hires (as well as other growth initiatives) and need to be able to illustrate costs related to those hirings, including adding employee benefits now.

  • Professional drafts up a job description template the Organization can use
  • Professional recommends appropriate hiring channels for the Organization based on budget, and assists in any setup necessary to list job descriptions

Our Mission

Lead Guitar establishes permanent classical guitar classes in public schools with low access to the arts. Our master instructors use our field-tested curriculum to co-teach K-12 students while also training certified teachers to teach classical guitar. This co-teaching method ensures both short-term quality and long-term sustainability of the program. Using a relatable instrument, Lead Guitar provides equitable access to a high-quality instrumental music education to thousands of students in need.
