We are part of a collaborative of 4 agencies that operate a SafeChat site for victims of domestic violence to ask for help without being overheard by their abuser. Each agency is required to provide 12 social media posts per year and we need help in creating those assets.
Victims of violence are being sheltered in place with their abusers and need the ability to reach out for help. We need attractive, engaging promotion of the SafeChat to make sure those in need know it exists
Although the problem of domestic violence is complex, Next Door Solutions believes the solutions must be client-centered, community based, and engage diverse groups of community leaders, volunteers, donors, advocates and clients in order to create real solutions that eradicate domestic violence for good.
* Crisis Services: 24/7 Emergency Shelter and Hotline - women and children receive safe haven from abuse, and safety planning and other supportive services; callers seeking crisis counseling, vital information and referrals receive an immediate live voice response by a highly trained bilingual English/Spanish Advocate.
* Community and Systems Advocacy - clients receive peer counseling, safety plan development, legal advocacy, and assurance and comfort.
* Support Groups - Survivors connect and create a healing environment for each other through 16 groups throughout the county and virtually
* Self-Sufficiency Program - women empower themselves and enhance their financial independence and self-sufficiency through comprehensive, compassionate, woman-defined case management, workshops in financial literacy, job readiness, and educational advancement, and permanent housing.
