Presentation Creation
Presentation Creation
Project details
What we need
- A new presentation, or update to an existing presentation in Powerpoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Prezi, or another presentation software
- Best practices and tactics for structuring an effective presentation
What we have in place
- We currently have a concept and target audience for this visual presentation, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a textual description of the concept we'd like to present, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $3,002 , allowing us to better serve the need of survivors throughout our community by providing accessible and educational content.
DASH is currently looking to create an easily accessible and visual presentation targeted for the population we serve (survivors of domestic violence) to better understand the process of applying to and receiving rapid re-housing as part of our goal to better educate survivors on resources available to them.
Project plan
Our mission
DASH is an innovator in providing access to safe housing and services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their families as they rebuild their lives on their own terms. We envision a culture where safe housing is a human right shared by everyone.
What we do
DASH is addressing the overwhelming lack of housing and social services for victims of domestic violence and their children in the District by providing safety and necessary resources.
Our short and long-term goals are:
To provide safe housing and voluntary support services that meet the needs of a broad cross-section of domestic violence survivors.
To help domestic violence survivors avoid homelessness as the primary option for living free from abuse; and,
To engage local and federal lawmakers, civic leaders, concerned community members, and domestic abuse survivors in the movement to make safe housing in the District of Columbia more accessible in the short-term, and ultimately, less necessary in the long-term.
