How this will help
This project will save us $7,822 , allowing us to engage more students in our virtual service learning programs.
We have been empowering students in Detroit for over 17 years through our service and education programs. We understand to not only sustain, but grow our programs we must expand our Detroit Regional Board. Our primary goal is to establish a healthy and active 10 member Detroit Regional Board that reflects the diversity of the community we serve.

Our mission
buildOn is breaking the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and low expectations through service and education. Over the past 29 years, our U.S. Service-Learning Programs and Global School Construction Programs have empowered youth and families from historically oppressed populations to lead change. Our work is based on an inclusive service methodology that derives solutions from communities, increases solidarity, and builds the next generation of global leaders.
