What we need
  • Document outlining feedback on pitch delivery with suggested next steps and/or resources
  • A script for a 1-minute verbal pitch that communicates your Organization's mission, work, and why people should care

I am a very verbal being and shorting my pitch will benefit our organization. Both shorteningand focusing on key elements.

What we have in place
  • We currently have 9 years service to the community, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a shifting focus which needs to be intergrated in, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $1,066 , allowing us to hire a staff member to assist this process, work on our promotional video and research grants specific for our work.

We are community and foundation funded so a simple, quick pitch is important to gain donations. We also notice folks wanting a better pitch or different information when we do share our organizational work. We plan to make an about us video and need our pitch to be upgraded.

Milestone 1: Brainstorm & Coaching Plan Draft
  • Professional shares first draft of elevator pitch with Volunteer Manager
  • Volunteer Manager gives feedback with comments and questions, with focus on target audience and goals of ask
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree on/set dates for coaching sessions, as well as any preparatory work required

Milestone 2: Coaching Session
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect up to 3 times to practice and tailor presentation for a specific audience
  • Professional begins to draft a document with feedback and next steps for the Volunteer Manager

Milestone 3: Wrap-up Session
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager meet for a wrap-up session to review the final pitch
  • Professional presents a written document with pitch feedback that can be shared with other team members moving forward

Our mission

Our grassroots collective care prioritizes mental health, spiritual wellness, and Ancestral wisdom to affirm the societal greatness of genderqueer People Of Culture. We practice zero-waste principles, returning to ancient traditions of land stewardship. Since 2011, with our BY US, FOR US model, we center intersectionality, blackness, differently abled, houseless, Nature and those incarcerated.

What we do

As an Afro intersex + community led initiative we bolster basic dignities, access to leadership roles and truth telling. A decade strong Liberatory Network circulating resources to cultural hubs, collective housing, community gardens and families. We sustain genuine relationships built upon trust, collaboration & witnessing the fullness of each member. We value rest and creative expression as essential parts of living. Our community spaces exist for the purpose of replenishing and rejuvenating our bodies.
