What We Need
  • Review of current board policies and procedures
  • Document outlining best practices for meetings and communication, including cadence and tool recommendations

I am looking for a review of our current Bylaws.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have comprehensive Bylaws reviewed by Gov. Comm annually, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have annual board self-evaluation survey results, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $7,610 , allowing us to use our Board as ambassadors to advance our mission. Thank you!

We have a large Board of Directors and this project will help us more efficiently and effectively work with the Board to advance our mission.

Prep: Provide Current Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with the board’s current governance practices, policies and procedures, as well as a list of current board members
  • Volunteer Manager identifies which board members or other staff are available for interviews (if required)

Milestone 1: Research
  • Professional connects with Volunteer Manager for a brainstorming/overview session
  • Professional reviews any issues arising from current policies and procedures

Milestone 2: Evaluation
  • Professional conducts surveys and interviews with key stakeholders
  • Professional reviews relevant materials regarding the board’s performance, policies, and procedures
  • Professional drafts the board’s organizational guidelines
  • Organization provides feedback to Professional’s documents

Milestone 3: Delivery of Board Guidelines
  • Professional delivers board organizational guidelines outlining recommendations for more effective operations
