What we need
- Audit of existing Employee Handbook, or internal communications regarding employment policies
- Edit or creation of a new Employee Handbook, which may include any of the following: Standards of Conduct, Work Schedules, Leave Policies, Termination Policies, Safety and Security, Anti-Discrimination policies, Compensation and Benefits policies, any Non-Disclosure Agreements or Conflict of Interest statements that may apply, and any other pertinent information
Additional details
We specifically need someone with experience in California and San Francisco Employment Law. This would probably need to be a lawyer or experienced HR professional.
What we have in place
- We have a new draft employee manual that has been re-worked by our HR department. Staff is available to collaborate with the volunteer to review it.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to use this money to keep our staff employed, to continue to offer dance classes for all ages and abilities, to work toward ODC's digital transformation, and to continue to create art.
This project is important as it will make policies clear to our staff and community at large. Transparency in process, especially now, may sound mundane, but is actually about communal care and accountability.
