Project details

What we need
  • Specific copy from one document (up to 1000 words) translated from one language to one other of the Organization's choice
  • Note: If you need more than 1000 words translated or copy translated into more than one language, please post additional versions of this project
Additional details

Translation of 4 pages from our website. Some technical healthcare terms included.

What we have in place
  • We currently have all of the copy in English, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have two Spanish-speaking staff who can answer questions/review, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,383 , allowing us to fund our core programs, providing healthcare access to more musicians.

We are working to expand our outreach to the Spanish-speaking community and these pages on our website are the most viewed and include important content regarding our organization and accessing services.

Our mission

We provide access to affordable healthcare for Austin's low-income working musicians, with a focus on prevention and wellness.

What we do

Many Austin musicians are self-employed and have no access to health insurance or basic healthcare. They often work multiple jobs and struggle to pay for food, clothing and shelter, with nothing left for healthcare.

That's where we come in. By resolving challenges such as long-neglected dental work to hearing loss, heart problems and depression, HAAM and our partners improve and save musicians' lives and enhance Austin's economy and quality of life. Austin is the "Live Music Capital of the World," and we aim to keep it that way.

We have helped over 5,300 musicians access over $73 million dollars in healthcare value since we began in 2005. These include routine dental work, doctor visits and prescriptions, psychiatric counseling sessions, eye exams, out-patient procedures, specialist referrals, hearing screenings and more.

Testimonials

Sandra did it again! She turned around with a lengthy translation for a portion of our website in less than 24 hours. Her work is top notch and she is incredibly responsive. We are so grateful for her help!
