Project details

What we need
  • A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details

We need a membership plan for an effective membership drive for users, supporters, financial assistance for families and organizations and businesses (potentially as a benefit to their employees as well as corporate membership)

What we have in place
  • We currently have word docs and flyer drafts, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a website, facebook page and You Tube channel, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to accomplish the goal as efficiently and professionally as possible.

This is critical for earned revenue for program participants and community support.

Our mission

Our Mission:

To provide enriching, accessible, culturally sensitive, educational environments and resources that promote learning through play experiences to foster healthy child development.

Our Purpose:

_ To increase community play-based learning experiences for children, families, childcare providers and educators.
_ To increase understanding of the life long need for play, as well as knowledge and skills to promote developmentally appropriate practices with children.
_ To facilitate children's health and brain development including their social-emotional, cognitive, sensory-perceptual, creative and physical development.

Our Vision:

Children's fundamental need to play will be respected, nurtured, listened to and responded to in developmentally appropriate ways. Children and families will be equipped with the fundamental play-based learning experiences that give them the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to:
* Achieve successful relationships in families, school and work,
* Realize joy in learning at school, work and life,
* Express creativity and innovative thinking to their fullest potential,
* Adapt to changes in their lives and the world, and
* Lead healthy and socially-emotionally balanced lives.

What we do

We provide a screen-free, inclusive community play space as well as a toy library, educational resources and professional guidance for families, childcare providers, educators and mental health practitioners. We also offer parent and professional development workshops regarding the role of play in brain development, healthy child development and learning.

Since COVID restrictions, we have used social media to post supportive articles and guidance to parents. We are currently creating a series of parent-child videos that include tips for reading and playing with children.

We are working towards completing the cataloging process of the 900+ toys in our collection so that we can begin our toy lending program - for curb side pick up or delivery once COVID protocols make it possible.
