Board Recruitment Plan
Board Recruitment Plan
Project details
What we need
- Assessment of specific Organizational needs mapped to specific board roles
- Candidate evaluation guide for prospective board members, including suggested vetting questions and timeline
- Marketing tools and guidance on how to execute recruitment
- Note: This project does not include actual board recruitment on the part of the Professional
What we have in place
- We have a 9 person board with one member withdrawing end December. We are in need of more members with diversified skill sets/experiences. Our recruitment efforts have been a "do you know anybody" approach. Our obstacle is the community exposure of our agency; few have heard of us or know what we do (marketing exposure another project). I would be the primary contact/resource for this project with willing assistance from several other board members who share my deep concerns.
How this will help
This project will save us $7,822 , allowing us to increase our part-time teaching staff thus allowing for more classes of fewer students in compliance with health regulations
We now lack both the numbers and diversity to, in my opinion, carry out the full scope of responsibilities of a board of directors. Too much now falls upon the agency's paid Executive Director that should be a board responsibility. In COVID times, the Executive Director is already up to her neck in alligators and has no time to concentrate on draining the swamp.
