What We Need
  • Consultation regarding the Organization's current branding and desired branding objectives
  • Visual branding guidelines / style guide that include specific colors, fonts, and other graphic design elements to use in print and digital communications materials
  • High-resolution logo delivered electronically (in formats for digital and print use)

COVID-19 has forced Spirit Reins to pivot in our programming, which provides the opportunity to rebrand ourselves as a wellness organization.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have a previous branding guide and examples of logos we like, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have the new branding colors we are considering, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $4,817 , allowing us to reserve funds to support our new programming.

Spirit Reins is adapting and evolving as an organization, and we are eager to acquire new branding that will allow us to tell our story to the families we serve and the donors who support us. This new branding will be at the center of our external communications, especially informing the design of our new website and marketing efforts.

Prep: Distribution of Prep Materials
  • Volunteer Manager provides Professional with current logo (if available), branding guidelines, and any existing marketing/communications materials
  • Volunteer Manager sends Professional examples of logos, brands, and design elements preferred, and links to website and social media pages

Milestone 1: Brainstorm
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager connect to discuss the branding goals, target audience, and preferred design elements
  • Professional and Volunteer Manager agree upon a style concept and the detailed scope of deliverables (e.g., logo, custom graphics, updated style guide, new style guide, etc.)

Milestone 2: Logo Design
  • Professional drafts up to three different logo designs and shares with the Volunteer Manager for feedback
  • Volunteer Manager selects one of the design options and provides feedback
  • Professional iterates upon the design for final delivery, including versions of the logo for different uses (e.g., black & white, full color, and formats for print and digital use)
  • Professional delivers the final version of the logo including specifications for usage (colors, size, etc.)

Milestone 3: Visual Branding Guidelines / Style Guide
  • Professional drafts the visual branding guidelines, which features the logo design and a specific set of colors, fonts, and any custom graphic elements to be incorporated in future communications
  • Volunteer Manager reviews the draft guidelines and provides feedback
  • Professional incorporates feedback and prepares the final version
  • If custom graphics are included in the agreed-upon scope of work, the Professional provides them in high-resolution formats for digital and print use

Spirit Reins partners equine professionals with horses to transform the lives of children and families who have experienced complex trauma. Our unique and effective model of healing helps children feel safety, experience connection, and learn to build healthy relationships. Our vision is to end the generational cycle of trauma by healing families and helping children believe they are worthy of love and belonging and capable of reaching their full potential.

What We Do

Spirit Reins partners equine professionals with horses to work with children and families impacted by trauma. Due to the impact of COVID-19, our organization is currently undergoing a transformation and strategic planning update. To continue serving the community, we have launched Equine Connections--a new program that provides connection and promotes emotional stability for teens and caregivers experiencing isolation, depression, and uncertainty as a result of the pandemic. Each ranch experience is an opportunity to work with our equine professionals at the ranch, walk the land, and connect with horses.
