Copywriting
Project details
What we need
- Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, blog post, one-pager/fact sheet, fundraising/promotional materials
- Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives
Additional details
We are looking to create 4-5 blog posts for our site around the keyword "Recidivism", we will provide some possible topics. These articles should be crafted following the latest recommendations for keyword content. It's okay if you are unfamiliar with creating content specifically for SEO purposes, as it is a very simple set of rules to follow, which we can provide you with.
What we have in place
- We currently have a wealth of resources on recidivism, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have full support from RTA's operational team, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to focus on what we do best- bringing highly immersive arts programs to prisons to help our graduates emerge empowered, exceptional and ready to inspire at home, at work and in their communities.
There are a lot of people talking about the injustices of a society that incarcerates too many, keeps people in prison for too long, and re-incarcerates more than 60% of those released. We need to get the word out on RTA's amazing 25yr success working to break this cycle. These articles will help us to begin the process for a top 3 ranking on "recidivism," which would bring RTA a new level of exposure.
Project plan
Our mission
Rehabilitation Through the Arts (RTA) helps people in prison develop critical life skills through the arts, modeling an approach to the justice system based on human dignity rather than punishment.
What we do
The US prison system is based on punishment. The problem is, it doesn't work - more than half of people released from prison are back within three years. This revolving door breaks down families and communities and costs taxpayers billions.
RTA offers a better approach. Founded at Sing Sing in 1996, RTA works with professional teaching artists to lead year-round workshops in theatre, dance, music, creative writing, and visual arts. The RTA model provides an intensive, comprehensive arts program that builds critical life skills so that people can meet the challenges of connecting with family and community when released.
RTA demonstrates that an approach based on human dignity is vastly more successful than one based on punishment. Less than 5% of RTA members return to prison, compared to the national recidivism rate of 60%.
