Project details

What we need
  • Significant update to Organization’s existing CMS website, such as adding a new page, customizing a theme, adjusting layout, etc.
  • Smaller update to Organization's non-CMS website
Additional details

In addition to a general website audit with recommended changes and integration of our new style guide, our priority is to work with a developer who knows how to create gated/password protected content so that we can create "member only" pages.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a new style guide and a clear idea of what we're looking for, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have content and other marketing assets, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,586 , allowing us to divert more resources into work that connects kids, families and seniors to the healthy food access.

Due to COVID-19 we are shifting a lot of our consulting work with schools and communities online. However, as this content has value and is currently restricted to consulting clients we need to find a way to have it be web-based and, therefore more dynamic, while keeping it restricted through password access. We also want to expand our own capacity to build our online presence with content for our members and, in turn, build our revenue stream from consulting work to support our broader mission.

Our mission

Backyard Growers (BYG) is a grassroots initiative helping to reshape Gloucester’s relationship with food. We begin by providing resources and support to establish vegetable gardens in homes and schools. In the end we create life-long gardeners inspired by the power of growing one’s own food.
