What We Need
  • Strategy for using Instagram to engage your community, tailored to Organization’s goals and target audience
  • Training on how to find and post content on Instagram

We just started an Instagram page and we need help developing a social media plan. We need a simple plan for posting content in order to grow our social media presence and following. We want to build consistency across all platforms; FB, IG, our website, and Constant Contact.

What We Have In Place
  • We currently have Instagram, Facebook, Constant Contact, and a website, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have some existing content, stock photos, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How This Will Help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to allocate those funds to our client assistance fund and subsidize fees for those who are uninsured, underinsured, low income and lack the resources to pay the full cost of counseling.

This project will help our organization increase community awareness of mental health needs and the services we provide. It will also inform potential donors of the need for counseling fee subsidies for those who cannot afford potentially life saving therapy. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, children and adults are struggling with increased grief, isolation, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicide risk. We want the content we post to provide hope to hurting people.

Project Plan

Prep: Discuss Goals & Target Audience
  • Volunteer Manager and Professional connect to discuss the Organization’s current approach to Instagram (if any), goals for engagement via Instagram, and ideal target audience
  • Volunteer Manager shares any existing marketing materials and brand guidelines with Professional
Milestone 1: Set up Instagram for Business Account
  • Volunteer Manager shares Instagram credentials with Professional, if an existing account exists
  • Professional sets up account with bio and profile picture
Milestone 2: Develop Engagement Strategy
  • Professional recommends other types of accounts to follow and hashtags to use in order to build follower base
  • Professional recommends types and frequency of content to post on account (including posts, stories, and live videos)
Milestone 3: Content Creation Training
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on how to capture and/or find images to post on Instagram
  • Professional trains Volunteer Manager on how to use Instagram editing tools
