Project details

What we need
  • Well-written and compelling copy for marketing or communication materials; examples include a brochure, blog post, one-pager/fact sheet, fundraising/promotional materials
  • Messaging that is consistent with brand identity, public relations strategy and communications objectives
Additional details

Turtle Island Restoration Network, a global ocean conservation nonprofit based in Northern California, is currently seeking a copywriter to help develop a handful of timeless blog posts to accompany our newly designed and updated application that calculates potential hazards in the seafood you eat -- mercury exposure, bycatch levels, and microplastics -- so you can make informed decisions to protect yourself, your family, and the oceans that sustain us all.

What we have in place
  • We currently have a list of blog post ideas and resources, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have pre-written posts that need editing, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $4,212 , allowing us to purchase supplies for our partners in Costa Rica to help them monitor and protect nesting beaches from poachers.

As one of the first organizations to ring the alarm about the dangerous levels of mercury in seafood, Turtle Island Restoration Network continues to stay vigilant of the commercial fishing industry and the effects it has on both marine animals and our bodies. It's important to us that consumers make well-informed decisions on actions that directly impact ourselves and our oceans. These blog posts will help propel our updated campaign forward before our December deadline.
