Project details

What we need
  • Up to 6 coaching sessions with a staff member
  • Initial assessment of areas of strength, target(s) for improvement, and area(s) of focus for coaching sessions
  • A foundation for process and best practices when confronting change
  • Wrap-up session with actionable steps and advice for moving forward through change
Additional details

A process structure and best practices for change in a rapidly evolving environment for a non-profit organization with diminishing resources.

What we have in place
  • We currently have an immediate need to address change from an external environment. Our resources are the willingness of our Board of Directors to adapt to the impact of the change in the face of diminished resources.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,620 , allowing us to invest in relevant online delivery of course materials.

If we can adapt to the changes in an effective manner, we can continue to serve the underserved community with limited resources.

Our mission

AeroStar's mission is to enhance, promote and support the academic awareness of aviation and aeronautical career path opportunities for students, particularly female, minority, underprivileged and at-risk youth. By providing aviation academic curriculum development, programs, activities and support services for youth Grades K-12, interested in Science, Technology, Engineering & Math, AeroStar has paved the way for the future of our industry. Due to the need to build capacity for a sustainable aviation talent pipeline through strategic partnerships, sponsors, donors and grants, The AeroStar Avion Institute Non Profit was formed.

What we do

The AeroStar Avion Institute delivers programs that teach skills necessary to not just participate, but LEAD in the next generation of STEM innovation. Students are immersed in inquiry-based learning, engineering design projects, they operate flight simulators, remote controlled helicopters, drones, RC airplanes and VR headsets. They also build model airplanes and rockets to specifications. They study and demonstrate extensive knowledge on flight theory, aviation weather, aircraft radio operation, aircraft cockpit instrumentation and STEM careers. We soar above other programs because we provide years of ongoing support to students interested in pursuing pathways in Aviation/STEM.
