Project details

What we need
  • A written analysis of the Organization's position in the community it serves and its ability to address identified needs/problems for its beneficiaries
  • A summary of the Organization's strengths and weaknesses, related to its program goals as needed
  • A summary of competitors or potential collaborators
  • An appendix of all data gathered to perform analysis, including sources
Additional details

We are looking for market analysis for one of our programs. While we are a non-profit, Secure@Home is a paid membership service for seniors. The program is not financially sustainable at this time and we want to conduct research into the market to assess need, target populations and competitors.

What we have in place
  • We currently have details on current membership (demographics), which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a starting list of known competitors, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $10,948 , allowing us to provide over 2,000 meals to low-income, homebound seniors through our Kosher Meals on Wheels program.

Secure@Home provides seniors the ability to age in their homes for as long as they wish. Secure@Home provides a range of services that help seniors feel safe and independent. The services have also provided many with the advocacy and preparations for transitioning to a care facility, if it has been deemed necessary. The senior population is the fastest growing age demographic in the region we serve, and we know it is important for older adults to have the autonomy to age how and where they wish.

Our mission

JFCS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community service agency that strengthens individuals and families by empowering people to care for themselves and others.

What we do

Jewish Family & Children's Service of Greater Mercer County (JFCS) is grounded in the ideals of help, hope and healing. JFCS adapts Jewish values to meet the needs of the broader community through comprehensive social services for people of all ages and backgrounds in the Greater Mercer region.
Through a wide range of high quality social services and programs, delivered by compassionate staff, our agency assists families with many of life's toughest challenges.
We help comfort and care for seniors to keep them safe in their homes as long as they wish to be there.
We inspire hope for a better tomorrow with counseling at our main office in Princeton, our satellite office in East Windsor (Hightstown), and through support groups held across the community.
We heal with a simple bag of groceries - whether chosen at our pantry, delivered to a senior's home OR distributed into the hands of those most in need from the JFCS Mobile Food Pantry.

Testimonials

Sam was an incredible volunteer and provided much needed expert support for our agency. She completed a thorough market research project which we desperately needed but was always well beyond the time and expertise of staff. Her professionalism throughout and comprehensive work sets us up for success. I highly recommend Sam as a volunteer.
