What we need
- Ongoing HR support for 10-15 hours over the course of 4 weeks
- Support may include: hiring, compensation & benefits, HR policy & procedure, performance management, and/or workplace culture
- Note: We devised this project to connect nonprofits and volunteers for more flexible, more immediate impact. We strongly suggest you start with 4 weeks and decide from there if you'd like to continue working. For this project, we also recommend working with a volunteer who is knowledgeable about the Organization's state policies
What we have in place
- As executive director/director of choirs, I have been paid as a 1099 contractor for a few years. In September, I will transition to being an employee, and will be the only employee for our organization. I need to come up with a contract that reflects the myriad duties that I have.
I have my duties/responsibilities written already.
How this will help
This project will save us $2,430 , allowing us to put that money toward the community singing for elders, children and adults on our island.
In order for our organization to be sustainable, we need to have a contract and livable wage for the executive director/director of choirs.

Our mission
To provide universally accessible singing for all ages on St. John; fostering cultural awareness, a meaningful sense of community, and resilience.
What we do
We bring a very diverse and stratified island community together in times of joy and times of hardship through our events and in-school singing programs. We provide all of the community singing for our island, and seek to create inroads of understanding and connection across socioeconomic, cultural and linguistic division through shared musical experience.
