What we need
- A Membership Strategy document of 2-4 pages, including analysis of the Organization’s current membership program, step-by-step guide to a new or improved program, growth goals and creative outreach strategies
Additional details
The goal is to develop a one to three -year fundraising strategy, including recruiting five to seven Board members for our organization and attacting donors.
What we have in place
- We currently have a strong media executive who knows how to do fundraising, which should make it easy for you to get started. We also have a strong marketing campaign for fundraising, and the ability to provide any other information you need.
How this will help
This project will save us $5,848 , allowing us to hire a local news reporter.
This project is important because The Hartford Guardian attracts and train young journalists each summer and is a trusted organization for local news with in-depth reporting and writing in Connecticut.

The Hartford Guardian is an award-winning news publication. It is the first hyper-local, nonprofit, and nonpartisan news publication in Connecticut that aims to build communities through civic journalism and raise the level of civic engagement in the city. And for almost 20 years, The Hartford Guardian has been using journalism as a tool to help eliminate racism.
